Preliminary Round Recording Requirements
Singers will submit one (1) song video recording of their choice from their selected repertoire required for their category. Please review the repertoire requirements for your category before submitting.
Submit one video of one selection/song from your package. The recording must be uploaded to YouTube and submitted in AuditionWare as unlisted YouTube video link.
Video requirements:
-
Record the selection in landscape (horizontal) orientation, with the camera stationary throughout the performance.
-
Repertoire must be performed from memory.
-
Include a slate prior to singing that follows the format of: "My name is [singer name], I will be singing [title of song] from [opera/musical if applicable] by [composer and lyricist]."
-
The selection must be recorded in one continuous, unedited take. Cuts, splicing, audio enhancement, or other post-production editing are not permitted.
-
Position the camera so the singer is clearly visible throughout the performance, with an unobstructed view of the face and body and audio clear enough to evaluate both singer and accompaniment.
